How to Turn Your Dreams into Reality

Some say that life is a movie, whether good or bad. But what does having a good or bad life actually mean? What are we using to measure this? Is it possible that life is just… life? Sometimes good things happen to us, and sometimes bad, but overall, it’s just life.

Our deepest desires, the ones that we would categorize as dreams or fantasies, are the things that we deem “impossible” to have, yet somehow, there are others that have managed to reach out and grasp them. How do we justify someone else being able to accomplish something but us not having the means to? Whether it’s due to our upbringing, obstacles along the way, resources, time, etc., does it really make achieving our biggest dreams a fantasy? I don’t think so. There are two different types of people in the world, the ones that have huge goals and dreams, but they make the decision that they’re going to live a less than fulfilled life because there is absolutely no way that they could make those dreams their reality. On the other hand, there are the people that have decided that no matter what it takes, they will grasp every single thing that they desire. They decided that it is possible to have it all; love, happiness, wealth, and success.

Money alone does not define happiness, nor should it be used to measure happiness and satisfaction. There are millionaires that feel empty inside, that commit suicide, and/or jump in and out of relationships because they can’t seem to fill the void that is within them. They have more money than they’ll ever be able to spend, but they’re living proof that the old saying, “money can’t buy happiness” is true. Our joy and happiness can’t be faked, it’s not something that we can just look in the mirror and say, “I’m happy”. However, becoming happy and living a fulfilled life does go a little like that.

Get clear on your goals and dreams. Write them down. No matter how big or small, write it all down. After, mind dumping it all, go back and expand each and every one of these goals. What will it take to make this happen? Write it all down, map it out. When we’re so clear on a dream that we can imagine it in our head, that’s when we know we’re on the right path. Keep those goals somewhere close to you. Read them every single day. When you do anything, ask yourself, how is this getting me closer to my dream life? If you can’t answer that, then it’s time to re-evaluate what you’re giving your time to. At the end of each day take note of how the day set you closer to achieving everything that you desire for yourself.

Once you’re clear on your goals and dreams, and what it’s going to take to achieve them, work, work, work. You are going to have to make sacrifices, accept and welcome change, always be prepared to pivot, stay positive, and work harder than you’ve ever worked in your life. We all deserve to live the lives we dream of; therefore, we owe it to ourselves to do whatever it takes to get there.
